Prof. Dr. Ir. Dean Vučinić retired in June 2023, being professor at the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), which is an alliance between the Institute for European Studies (IES) and Vesalius College (VeCo). He was affiliated to VUB since 1988, and before joining VeCo, he has been the guest professor and senior research scientist at the VUB Faculty of Engineering Sciences (IR) in 2 departments: Mechanical Engineering (MECH) and Electronics & Informatics (ETRO). In parallel he founded in Brussels, in 2001 and still managing his private IT end engineering consultancy company VICORE SA, with hope that it will keep him active for some more years to go. He is also visiting Full Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology (FERIT), University of Osijek and Technical Faculty, University of Pula (UNIPU), both in Croatia. His work was mostly related to Research and Development (R&D) projects, and his interest covers Scientific Visualisation, Modelling and Simulation, Optimisation methodologies and techniques. His Ph.D. became a book, as in the early 90's he developed "CFView - Computational Field Visualization System", the first-time-ever interactive visualization software for numerical simulations, fully based on the object-oriented technology. VUB spin-off NUMECA is still using his software after more than 20 years, more than 20 VUB PhD-s applied CFView in their visualization and data analysis tasks. During +30 years at VUB, he successfully participated in +25 European Commission R&D projects (FP, H2020, EUREKA/ITEA and Tempus/Erasmus+). He is author of more than 70 scientific papers in international reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and in addition, editor and author of several books. He is member of International Boards of Journals and Conferences, acting as chair, session organizer, reviewer and editor. He is still promoting and encouraging international cooperation in research and development, and education; realised initiatives with USA, Canada, Russia, Brazil, India, Egypt and Japan, among others. He was the European Commission expert in H2020 and member of international organisations: AIAA, IEEE, ACM, SAE & ASME.

Nicolae Crainic graduated in Materials Science and Engineering in 1982, from Materials Science and Engineering Faculty at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania, received a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering in 1998, and is an Associate Professor, in the Department of Mechanical Machines, Technology and Transportation, Mechanical Faculty, Politehnica University of Timisoara and a member of National Center for Engineering of Systems with Complex Fluids (NCESCF) with field of interest as polymer matrix nanocomposites materials, Casting Design and Solidification of Materials, Materials and Proceedings for Moulding.

Prof. Orchidea Maria Lecian graduated and defended her PhD thesis at Sapienza University of Rome and ICRA, Italy. She was postdoctoral Fellow at IHES (France), Max Plank Institute- Golm (Germany), and Sapienza University of Rome. She was invited in intensive-research programmes, such as at The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences.She received the SAIA-NS'P International Researcher's Fellowship and was there appointed Erasmus Lecturer. She was Visiting Professor at Kursk State University (Russia). She was Assistant Professor and is now Associate Professor at Sapienza University of Rome. She has been serving several International Journals with editorial positions. She has participated in several National Conferences and International ones. She is member of several research consortia. She is author of research papers, review papers, conference-proceeding papers and three books.

Irene Cruciani graduated from the Sapienza University of Rome in Aerospace Engineering, where she subsequently also obtained a PhD. After a brief experience in Turin in the Alenia Aeronautical Research team, she joined AVIO in 2004, following the development of the Vega and Vega-C launchers, within the Guidance, Navigation and Control team, with increasing responsibilities. You participated in the FPSA program, the flight SW developed by AVIO and successfully used on Vega flights, reused on Vega-C and on future launchers in development. She currently holds the role of Head of the Flight Mechanics, GNC and Software team, a team that deals with the definition of the trajectory, algorithms and flight SW of all launch systems (both those currently in development and those in production).

My first project was the first Egyptian cubesat. I was the responsible engineer for structural and thermal design in a cooperation with European union (Surrey space center). Dr. Maalawi has contributed to several research projects regarding aerospace engineering technology, wind turbine structures, and renewable energy applications. A retired professor of the Faculty of Architecture at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Cracow University of Technology, in Cracow, Poland. Prof. Shufan Wu is a Full Member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) since 2013 and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) since 2002. He received the B.E. degree in automatic control, the M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in Guidance, Navigation and Control from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), Nanjing, China, in 1984, 1987, and 1990, respectively. He worked as assistant/associate/full professor at NUAA from 1990 till 1998, as a research fellow with TU Braunschweig in Germany (1995-1996 Humboldt Fellowship), with TU Delft in Netherlands (1999), and with Surrey Space Centre at Surrey University in UK (2000-2002). He served as a Senior/Fellow Engineer with European Space Technology and Research Center (ESTEC) of ESA from 2002 to 2013. He was CTO of the Shanghai Engineering Center for Microsatellites in China from 2013 to 2017. Since 2017, he has been with the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SAA SJTU), as a Chair Professor. His current research interests include guidance, navigation and control, intelligent micro-satellite technology and application, and space science exploration.

I currently hold the position of Associate Professor II at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), where I teach and conduct research in the Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Civil Engineering, the Master's and PhD programs in Aeronautical Infrastructure Engineering, and the Professional Master's program in Aviation Safety and Continued Airworthiness. Professor Zhongwei Guan is Executive Director of Advanced Materials Research Centre of Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi. He received his first degree on Solid Mechanics in Sichuan University China in 1982 and was awarded PhD on Structural Behavior of Polymeric Pipelining in University of Bradford UK in 1993. He was Reader in Lightweight Composite Materials and Structures at the University of Liverpool. Dr Sirkemaa holds a Ph.D. and a master degree in information systems science from the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration. Dr Sirkemaa has worked at various academic positions, as professor of information systems management and as a research professor at Turku School of Economics and Business Administration. Dr Sirkemaa has been the vice director of Turku School of Economics and Business Administration, Pori Unit during 2003–2008. He has acted as professor in Entrepreneurship at University of Turku. Dr Sirkemaa has participated in several national and international research projects. He has also been active with conferences, for example as conference chair of the 14th International Conference on Telework – ITA2009. Mohamed KCHAOU is a Senior Professor at the University of Bisha (Saudi Arabia) and University of Sfax (Tunisia).
